WordPress 2.7 RC2
So apparently I lied the other day when I said that WordPress 2.7 final was being released on December 4th; I guess my sources were not that good.
According to the offical WordPress blog, 2.7 RC2 released today. I just did an upgrade using the new built in upgrade tool with no issues whatsoever. No new features are listed in RC2, but it is said that this version is basically what they will be releasing as final, baring any last minute bug fixes. It also seems to be quicker than RC1, which is a huge bonus for me. I was a bit worried before!
I eagerly await 2.7 final, the new admin interface is so much nicer to use than the previous version. Dropdown menus keep everything organized, the colors and icons are fresh, and thing seem to be where they should be – that is to say, where you would expect them to be. I have nothing bad to say about it. Bring on 2.7 final!
